Crawling

Getting into the shelves

Dad put his Ohio state hat on me!

Well, it's official. She can crawl. Our lives have changed now that she's on the move. I am going to clean off the lower shelves of our TV stand b/c she has already starting pulling everything off of them.  I can't believe how active she is - constantly wanting to grab things and touch everything in site. She hates being strapped into her car seat or anything that holds her down...she likes to be "free" and able to move around. I can tell she is going to be very independent and head strong little girl. I guess Matt and I are both hard headed so it was bound to happen. haha.  I got a few good shots of her in the basket... I may try to get a few more this week since she feels better. She has had a little cold...runny nose and cough. She is much better this week though. I cannot believe she is already over 5 months old - she is still so small for her age, but that is definitely not slowing her down any.  Well, I'll try to post a video of her crawling sometime this week.

5 Months
Reese is officially 5 months old! It is just going by so fast.  She is about to crawl...she can stand up on all 4's and is starting to rock back and forth. Her arms get tired and she collapses quickly, but she will be on the go very soon!  She is very active and loves to watch everything going on around us, ESPECIALLY Cooper. She loves him and call follow him with her eyes, even when he is sprinting around the house! (She is still growing on him some...she likes to pull his hair and he doesn't like that) He does love to lick her face a lot! BUT, when she is crying he is the one thing that will make her stop.  She loves to go with me on a walk in her stroller...and hopefully fall weather will show up in Texas soon.  We are ready!  She has to be getting teeth because she has constant drool coming out of her mouth. I can feel a small bump in her mouth where a tooth feels like it's coming in. Matt celebrated his 5 year anniversary at our church this past Sunday.  We got to go on stage and he was recognized by Jeff and was presented a nice framed certificate. (with a little bonus!) I am so proud of him!  He also sang during the invitation this past Sunday and sounded great - he has such a good voice.  We are all doing great - thanks for checking out our blog!!

Dallas Trip!

4 1/2 months
Headed to the game 9-10-2010
Ballpark in Arlington! Go Rangers!!
Daniel and Jamie and Reese's cousins, Brycen, Tucker, and Jackson
My Sister and Brother, Laura and Taylor

Things are good in Texas. The weather has been much better and things are beginning to cool off some!  Since Matt's birthday is coming up, I surprised him with a trip to Dallas to watch the Texas Rangers vs New York Yankees! We went with my sister and her boyfriend, Jared.  We had a great time. The game seemed to last forever...13 INNINGS! The game lasted 5 hours and 12 minutes and between the 2 teams there were 19 pitchers that pitched. (an American League record) The Rangers did win...YAY Texas!  Reese was spoiled by Mel and Grandma Tidwell (Mimi) for a day and it gave mom and dad a break! It was nice to get away...our first night away from Reese since her arrival. (A big step for mom)  Today we are relaxing while Matt watches Ohio State vs Miami...football season has officially started! Last weekend my cousin Daniel got married to his lovely bride Jamie in Ruston, LA.  It was really good to see my family... we don't get to see everyone too often b/c of our busy lives. It was so good to catch up with everyone.  I had the privilege to take pictures at the wedding! It was such an honor to have that opportunity.  We are staying busy.  Matt turns 33 on Monday! I told him we should all dress up like Jesus! :)

My first Buckeye game! September 2, 2010
Sucking my TOES!
My bouncer isn't my favorite game
Matt working on the fence at NIGHT b/c of the hot summer...smart!
4 Months old!
The Reynolds family is doing great. Matt finished the fence last weekend...it looks so awesome. My dad helped him make the gates and everything is finished, even the electric fence!  Cooper and Pistol love the backyard, and now that it is MUCH cooler here, it's even better!  Reese is doing good.  She is growing so fast. She is eating a little bit of rice cereal at night before bed and it is helping her sleep so much better.  She is sleeping about 6-8 hours every night which is great for MOM!  She also takes great naps most days, so she is a good sleeper - and she is sleeping in her "big girl" crib!  No more bassinet in mom and dad's room.  She seems to love it!  She watched her first OHIO STATE game with dad last night. I think she cried a lot. I went to get a pedicure while they had some daddy-daughter time. I know that was fun for dad, but he needed to teach baby Reese about his team! This weekend is my cousin Daniel's wedding. He is getting married in Ruston, Louisiana to Jamie! I have the honor of taking pictures for them, so that will be fun. I am just hoping that Reese cooperates.  I am so excited to see our family in Louisiana. It seems like it has been forever since we've all gotten together for a happy occasion!!  I hope everyone is doing well. I will post pictures from the wedding and our Labor Day weekend soon!  Kate

4 Months

My newest face! I like to suck on my bottom lip.
Reese turned 4 months old this weekend! I just can't believe she is already 4 months old! We had our check up this morning - she weighed 12 lbs 1 oz and was 24 inches long. :)  She is in the 25th percentile in weight and 50th percentile in height. Matt said she is light and tall...every girls dream! haha.  She got 2 shots and screamed, but she recovered quickly and is asleep right now. Thank goodness!! The doc said she looked perfectly healthy and we can start giving her rice cereal if we want.  She can roll over, so everytime I go to check on her she is on her belly.  She also loves her feet and is TRYING to get them into her mouth...I'm sure that's coming very soon.  We have had a lot going on. The fence is almost finished.  My dad is working on the gates, but other than that, Matt did all the work himself in this crazy heat! I am so glad that is finished, and I KNOW Matt is glad.  Pistol and Cooper really seem to love the backyard. I posted a picture of Matt working on the fence at 11 PM! It was so hot, he borrowed a spot light and worked in the dark. Mom and dad got a new Weimaraner puppy and named him Bentley Blue. He is really big.  Cooper went NUTS when he saw him, but hopefully they will become friends very soon. The Texas schools started classes today. I am so thankful that I get to stay at home with precious Reese.  It is my "dream job" to be a stay at home mom.  Thanks to my hard working husband I am able to do that.  It is a blessing.  Well, that's all for now. :) Until next time!!

Happy Anniversary

I finally decided to set up a blog so everyone can know how baby Reese is doing. I hope to write at least once a week to keep family and friends updated. Today is mine and Matt's 3 year anniversary! I just can't believe that it has already been that long...it has flown by. This is our first anniversary with our precious Reese. She is so much fun and doing so much better. She has had a rough first 3 months - lots of crying, which is exhausting for ME. It took us a while to figure out WHY she was crying so much - we thought it was her stomach, her teeth, her ears, breast feeding...we just couldn't figure it out. I still don't know why she cried so much, but now she is so much better, thank you Jesus! She is smiling a lot more and seems much more content. She recognizes her mom and dad, and cooing a lot more, putting everything in her mouth, and drooling like crazy. I guess it’s possible for her to be getting teeth! She hasn't laughed yet, but I can tell she is very close. She can turn over from her back to her stomach, but she doesn't like being on her stomach too much. She sleeps on her side, and refuses to sleep on her back - I know that's the "rule", but she refuses to sleep that way. I just can't believe how fast she has grown....these 3 1/2 months have flown by. I don't want her to grow up so fast. We just got back from Ohio. We surprised Grandma Sherry for her 60th birthday. We didn't tell her we were coming and Grandpa Rick set it up perfectly! I think she was shocked. We enjoyed our visit - it was so nice to get OUT of the Texas heat for a few days. It has been 107 degrees here, and in Ohio it was around 85!! We went shopping and just relaxed by playing lots of dominoes. Then we surprised Grandma Sherry again by throwing a huge surprise party for her - I think everyone had a great time. Reese was exhausted, but it was worth it. I was just glad that she did great on the plane rides. She got fussy on the way home, but overall, she was awesome. Thank goodness for pacifiers!! Hopefully she will continue to get better and better. I am so in love with this baby girl. It is crazy how much our lives have changed, but what a blessing it has been! I am not going back to work this fall - I get the privilege to be a stay at home mom...I am so thankful and excited about it. I just love being at home with Reese. God has really blessed us in so many ways
